The central message behind "The Fall" is that the more knowledge you have (of good and evil), the farther you move away from god. This is called original sin. The corollary is that morons believe in god. When the talking snake advised Eve to eat the fruit (normally depicted as an apple) from the Tree of Knowledge, she felt shame. That's what happens when you eat an apple. She felt shame about one part of her body (her crotch). But why the crotch area, why not her elbow or her nose? Do you realize that if Eve had felt shame of her nose, all you ladies would be running around with little nose knickers.
