Abrahamic religions
require that the unbelievers be eliminated.
This one key act basically allows the religion to grow.
Just get rid of your critics.
Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets;
I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly,
I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota,
not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished.
Matthew 5:17-18 ESV
But as for these enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign
over them, bring them here and slaughter them before me. (Jesus)
Luke 19:27 ESV
When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest
to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites,
and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the
Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater
and mightier than thou; And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them
before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou
shalt make no covenant with them, nor show mercy unto them: Neither
shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt
not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son. For
they will turn away thy son from following Me, that they may serve
other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and
destroy thee suddenly. But thus shall ye deal (part) with them;
ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and
cut down their idols {groves}, and burn their graven images with fire.
For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God
hath chosen thee to be a special people unto Himself, above all
people that are upon the face of the earth. The LORD did not set His
love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than
any people; for ye were the fewest of all people: But because the
LORD loved you, and because He would keep the oath which He had sworn
unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand,
and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of
Pharaoh, king of Egypt.
Deuteronomy 7:1-8 KJV
You shall not sacrifice to the Lord your God an ox or a sheep
in which is a blemish, any defect whatever, for that is an abomination
to the Lord your God. If there is found among you, within any of
your towns that the Lord your God is giving you, a man or woman
who does what is evil in the sight of the Lord your God, in
transgressing his covenant, and has gone and served other gods and
worshiped them, or the sun or the moon or any of the host of heaven,
which I have forbidden, and it is told you and you hear of it, then
you shall inquire diligently, and if it is true and certain that such
an abomination has been done in Israel, then you shall bring out to
your gates that man or woman who has done this evil thing, and you
shall stone that man or woman to death with stones. ...
Deuteronomy 17:1-20 ESV
If your brother, the son of your mother, or your son or
your daughter or the wife you embrace or your friend who is as your
own soul entices you secretly, saying, 'Let us go and serve other gods',
which neither you nor your fathers have known, some of the gods of the
peoples who are around you, whether near you or far off from you,
from the one end of the earth to the other, you shall not yield
to him or listen to him, nor shall your eye pity him, nor shall
you spare him, nor shall you conceal him. But you shall kill him.
Your hand shall be first against him to put him to death, and
afterward the hand of all the people. You shall stone him to death
with stones, because he sought to draw you away from the Lord
your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the
house of slavery.
Deuteronomy 13:6-10 ESV
But that whoever would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel,
should be put to death, whether young or old, man or woman.
2 Chronicles 15:13 ESV
