This might seem illogical, but it is important to not start humiliating the child too soon. In the case of corporal punishment, it must first become aware that nakedness is shameful, before you start using nakedness to torture it. If you start sooner it will be less effective because the child gets used to it and it's soul will be hurt less by the torture. The best way to achieve this is to always have many people present, like your wife, all your other children, your brothers and sisters and grandparents. You then instruct the child to undress itself in a standing position, spread its feet apart, and bend over and hold its ankles in such a manner that the child's buttocks are exposed to those present (butt naked, so to say). You then apply the well deserved beating on the child's bare backside, using a two foot flexible plastic rod that leaves nice red stripes and welts such that sitting down comfortably will not be possible for about two days.
