All religious holy scriptures are peddled as books on morality. Here's a definition of morality. morality conformity to the rules of right conduct; moral or virtuous conduct. Now, we can discuss The Holy Inquisition that tortured hundreds of thousands and literally burned some 20,000 people at the stake for their thought crimes. Just imagine your local priest setting someone on fire while your neighbors watched. Earlier, there were the Crusades that killed an estimated one and a half million people across Europe, the near east, and the middle east over the course of 200 years, again for their thought crimes. Then there is the Christian concept of Hell which is sort of an Auschwitz but you get tortured until the end of time. The sweet release of death is not possible. Remember, this comes from their loving God. Members of the clergy now want to point to the Holy Bible as a true source of morality.
